Anna Louise Thorne was known to work in several mediums including oils, ivory, etching and block printing and also did frescos.

(1866-1964) With William Merritt Chase as one of her teachers, she took training at Academy Delecluse in Paris, the Art Students League of New York, the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Her subject matter included portraits and landscapes.

She was a member of the National Association of Women Artists, the National Associaton of Women Painters and Sculptors and the Society of Independent Artists, and has exhibitions with them. Information from AskART.
